Chromatic Chronicles: Streets in Color Film, Volume 1

2007-14 Melbourne

Photography is the simplest thing in the world, but it is incredibly complicated to make it really work.

Photography is the simplest thing in the world, but it is incredibly complicated to make it really work.

In this first series of photographs, I showcase the dynamic streets of Melbourne during the late 2000s and early 2010s, where my lens documented the unfolding moments of daily life. Armed with a collection of film cameras, I set out to capture the soul of a city, striving to encapsulate the very essence of life as it unfolded around me. Within this photographic narrative, my lens discovered individuals immersed in their own worlds, seamlessly transitioning from one moment to the next. Each frame is a testament to the intricate dance of time and humanity, a delicate pursuit to seize fleeting moments and immortalize them in the realm of imagery.
